DANSYN is dan balamut from toronto, and this page is not going to pretend to be neutral about him. the sound is groove first: latin leaning percussion, rolling basslines, and vocal hooks that refuse to leave. he came up on punk and metal before house pulled him in, and the drops still land like someone who learned energy from live rooms.

the first decade ran under DLMT: bass house and future house on Ultra, Spinnin', Musical Freedom and Confession, plus a billboard number one when "So Cold" with Mahalo and Lily Denning topped the dance/mix show airplay chart in august 2019. his bios still carry a grammy nomination from that chapter.

the pandemic era turned that project into chart math, records made for streaming numbers instead of for himself. so he shut it down and restarted from zero in 2025 as DANSYN.

I never really felt like I found my true sound or identity with that project.

the reset needed about a year to prove itself. "Control" with HILLS and "Bass Go Boom" with REYSHA RAMI landed on FISHER's Catch & Release, "Feel Your Soul" with Tom Westy went to MEDUZA's AETERNA, and 1001tracklists filed him under the future of dance 2025. then 2026 opened hard: "Pressure" with NO STATIC arrived 17 february on insomniac's IN / ROTATION, and "The Future" with JØRD dropped 6 march on John Summit's Experts Only, a signing that started with a dm from john he thought he was misreading. "Bang That" on Trace Amounts and "Work It Out" with Dox on LIP SERVICE kept the run moving.

the live side seals it. insomniac booked him three times inside the rebrand's first year, more than the dlmt decade ever got, with BOO seattle on the 2026 calendar. and club space miami filmed his set on the terrace and put it on their own channel. that set already lives in the groovesmaxxing homepage rail, and it plays right below.

also worth saying plainly: the man is a machine. records keep landing like he owes someone a quota, no rest days anywhere in the catalogue, and he shows up looking like he carries the subs in himself. we'll leave it at that.
